And, happy to report, the birth of three baby cactus. Here's one of them (below). I've got a request for a cactus start that I can now fulfill. There are actually cactus in the woods in Michigan (surprising factoid, no?), but not too many in people's gardens like mine - ours is huge. At it's peak we counted over 125 blooms one summer.
